I ran across this while buying dog food yesterday and couldn't resist snapping a picture. In case you are curious, the chicks they are referring to are actually baby chickens.

Wedding Date

I guess I will be the second to add some news. Most of you probably know Justin and I got engaged in December. The wedding date is set for Aug. 7th, 2010. The ceremony will take place on Justin's family farm. Just thought I would give everyone a heads up on the date.

A few new additions

For one of the first posts, I wanted to share a few photos of some of the newest additions to the family. Here is a photo of of Jacquie (Fisher) Smith, Sandra (Montero) Ford and Stephanie (Wisslead) Wilkinson along with their babies Brooklyn Smith, Jeremy Ford and Amelia Wilkinson. Just for kicks, I added in a photo of the babies with their grandmas Sally Fisher, Olive Ford and Eleanor Ann Wisslead.

Inaugural post

Hello Jacob family!

Thanks for taking interest in the family blog. I hope to use this as a virtual Christmas letter of sorts. Feel free to post whenever you want about whatever you want. And don't forget to add photos if you have some to share.

I realize that posting on the photos can be challenging. I would encourage anyone running into problems adding photos to e-mail them to the blog's e-mail address (jacobfamilyblog@gmail.com) and I can put them up for you. Also e-mail if you have any other questions or comments about the blog. I went with the name Jacob's Ladder after the sign I believe is up behind uncle Larry's house (correct me if I'm wrong here).



Also, I am hoping to enhance the look of the blog eventually (if I can figure out how).

Anyway, I'm hoping everyone has fun with this. Let the blogging begin!
